The Rawa Safaris Island Resort is located at Pulau Rawa where the Johor Marine Park is also located. It will take you about an hour to get to the resort if you go by speed boat from the Mersing jetty. If you are a guest of the resort then they will arrange for the speed boats at the jetty for you, however if you are not a guest of the resort you can still purchase tickets from the regular boat operators, for example Bluewater Ferry that travels between Mersing and Pulau Tioman and you can request for them to stop at Pulau Rawa if you wish to take a tour around the island.

The resort began its operation in the year 1998 where it was just fairly basic when it first started out. However since then the resort has expanded and has grown to become an international class resort. You will find that the resort has evolved to become a completely different establishment with additional facilities added to the resort as well as a variety of lodging options for the guests to choose from.

The resort currently has 72 rooms that vary in size and standard that the guests can choose from depending on their budget. Some of the units are built either on the hill side, located a few meters away from the beach or there are some units that are facing the ocean. All the rooms are equipped with the standard facilities and amenities that you would normally find in such resorts such as individually controlled air-conditioning, attached bathrooms and so. However you should take note that the 6 units of budget rooms at the resort may not have some of the same amenities as the other types of accommodations so you should enquire carefully at the front desk before you make any bookings.

The rooms are divided into a few categories and they can be identified through the locations that they are situated in. For example the hill side area of the resort contains 6 garden units, 10 studio units, 2 hill side family suite, 8 long houses, and 20 hillside units. The water front location has 1 new water front unit, 1 sea breeze unit, 1 coral garden suite and 1 water front unit. And finally there is the beach side that has 2 units of the semi detach suites, 4 beach view suites, 1 beach front garden unit and 9 units of the beach suite.

The rooms are designed with modern amenities that are set in a rustic village environment making your stay here a truly different experience. The floors are made using timber strips and the interiors are designed in a way that gives it a plush ambiance. Each of the units includes large windows where you will be able to see the spectacular view of the sea side. The resort has only one restaurant where they serve sumptuous seafood so make sure that you drop by and not miss out on it.
